After a successful five years being a professional gambler, myself Michael Latimer and partner Kristina loved the idea and challenge of building a new business in the events industry. Being a very social character and a history of travelling the world, the desire to meet new people and help make your day really stood out to us. Make Your Day Event Hire
Make Your Day Event Hire was born in 2019 after noticing a trend with flower walls, sweet carts and baby boxes. Hours, days and many conversations later, we purchased our very first sweet cart and baby boxes. Aiming to supply local baby showers in Stevenage / Hertfordshire area.

Little did we know, our journey was going to take us into an industry that we can build our own equipment which would then allow us to continuously grow and be one of the biggest event suppliers in Hertfordshire.
A short while later we have now finished building every letter and number, multiple times.





2020/2021
By understanding the industry and having the skillset to build and customise equipment, we have managed to build Make Your Day Event Hire into what it is today, supplying equipment to nearly 300 people in the first year. As covid has affected every industry, things have been a little slow but 2021 is looking very busy for us.


Storing our Equipment
We started out storing products at home in our spare room, which spilled onto the landing, bedroom and eventually the living room so then It was time to get our first storage unit. This worked well for a few months but as we continued to grow, there was no room left to move. Time to look for a bigger storage unit. We now share storage space with two very good friends and also event companies. Amazing Occasions & Balloon Boutique.
